Danny Isgett chaired our March 7, 2024, program of providing 30 "Exchange Club of Charleston Scholarship Awards" to local students.
This annual Scholarship Awards Program is one example of how the Exchange Club of Charleston gives back to the community using funds raised by putting on the Coastal Carolina Fair.
The Scholarship Committee includes Club Members Danny Isgett (Chairman), Mark Heath, and Eduard Weathers.
30 Scholarships were awarded to students from 6 Schools
American College of Building Arts
Charleston Southern University
College of Charleston
Medical University of South Carolina
The Citadel
Trident Technical College.
Key Award Criteria Include:
1. That the student has a demonstrated financial need for the scholarship;
2. That the selected student lives in the Tri-County area;
3. That the student possesses at least a 3.0 grade point average;
4. That the student has completed the freshman (or equivalent) year of college;
5. That the student has some recent history of involvement in local community service.
